Raila Odinga Ignites Mukuru with Fiery Ruto Rebuke: “Zakayo Hajui Njia”

Azimio La Umoja One Kenya Coalition Party leader Raila Odinga criticized President William Ruto’s governance during a food donation event for flood victims in Embakasi South on May 3. Raila remarked that Ruto had failed to guide the country in the right direction.

Raila mentioned that the government had accused Azimio of hindering the nation’s development projects, and he questioned whether there had been any tangible progress since the opposition stopped street protests.

“While they were claiming that Azimio was damaging the economy and hindering their operations, we stepped back to observe. It’s been a year since thenโ€”has the situation improved? Has anything changed? Haven’t they failed? They failed, and even if they stay for ten years, they’ll fail. Ruto doesn’t know how to lead,” Raila stated.

What are the issues with Ruto’s government?

Raila pointed out that Ruto’s government is filled with corrupt officials. He accused Ruto of appointing corrupt individuals and cited the fertilizer scandal as an example.

“All those in his circle, the ones he appointed, are all thieves. They steal in everything they do. Recently, they claimed to bring in fertilizer but ended up selling rocks to people as fertilizer,” Raila added.

Raila criticizes the government for ignoring flood warnings

On April 30, the opposition leader criticized the government for not heeding the weatherman’s warnings about heavy rains. Raila said the floods highlighted the country’s lack of preparedness for the consequences of climate change.

He urged the government to learn from its mistakes, such as the lack of planning and poor infrastructure, which the current flood situation has revealed.
