Raila, Kalonzo Lose Security Protection
The security details of Azimio la Umoja principals Raila Odinga and Kalonzo Musyoka have been revoked, as disclosed by the embattled Jubilee Secretary-General Jeremiah Kioni.
Kioni told GossipA2Z in an exclusive interview that he believed the move was a political witch hunt designed to prevent the Azimio la Umoja Coalition from organizing mass demonstrations.
He criticized the government for looking for scapegoats rather than offering solutions to reduce the cost of living. Kioni verified that he was not surprised by President William Ruto’s stern warning to his MPs not to permit mass demonstrations in their respective districts.
“I did not anticipate that the government would accept maandamano, so I am not astonished. If you are in office, your sole obligation is to improve the lives of Kenyans. If you do not comply, we will protest and the police will provide protection,” Kioni stated.
During the Twitter Space, the former member of parliament for Ndaragwa alleged that the police were using a hotel in Eldoret as a training ground for a special operations unit.

GossipA2Z was incapable of independently confirming these claims.
“Yesterday, a supporter in Eldoret contacted me and informed me that these officers are being trained in a hotel during demonstrations. They numbered around 200 at the time, but that number has since increased. Some members of this organization were recalled from the Special Services organization (SSU),” Kioni explained.
According to Kioni, the opposition received intelligence from several police officers who did not desire to participate in the demonstrations. He added that the disobedient officers provided crucial information regarding the plans to thwart the planned demonstrations.
Kioni described the allegations that former president Uhuru Kenyatta was financing the protests as baseless speculations.
He noted that during his administration, Uhuru decided to provide the youth with employment opportunities, which allowed them to earn a living.
“If Uhuru is funding them, why did he not finance them when he was in charge? Instead, Uhuru sent Kazi Mtaani to assist young people.”
He echoed Azimio’s assertion that they had no desire to clasp hands with the current administration.
