President Ruto Confers State Honours To 9 Cabinet Secretaries
President William Ruto on Tuesday conferred State honors to over 900 Kenyans including top government officials, politicians, and citizens who have excelled in their respective fields among others.
Nine Cabinet Secretaries received the highest State honor which is the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.).
They include Energy and Petroleum Cabinet Secretary (CS) Davis Chirchir oipan Tuya (Environment), Peninah Malonza (EAC), Ezekiel Machogu (Education), Eliud Owalo (ICT), Zachariah Njeru (Water), Rebecca Miano (Trade), Mithika Linturi (Agriculture) and Health Minister Susan Nakhumicha.
Also feted as Kenya marked its 60th Jamhuri Day celebrations on Tuesday was Head of Public Service Felix Koskei who was bestowed with the same award together with Governors Wavinya Ndeti (Machakos), Jonathan Bii (Uasin Gishu), Hassan Abdi Ibrahim (Isiolo) and Nakuru County boss Susan Kihika.

Mandera Governor Khalif Mohamed Adan and his counterparts Johnson Sakaja (Nairobi), Gladys Wanga (Homa Bay), Kimani Wamatangi (Kiambu), Cecily Mbarire (Embu), and Marsabit Governor Mohamud Mohammed Ali were likewise honored with the Elder of the Order of the Golden Heart (E.G.H.).
Kilifi County Senator Madzayo Mwachiro, National Assembly Majority Leader Kimani Ichung’wa, and his Senate counterpart Aaron Cheruiyot similarly received the same recognition alongside Ugunja MP James Wandayi, former Wajir Governor Ahmed Abdullahi and Chief of the Kenya Defence Forces Gen. Francis Ogolla.
Double Olympic champion and women’s 1,500m world record holder Faith Kipyegon was also conferred with the E.G.H. award.
Inspector General of Police Japhet Koome, NIS Director Noordin Haji, as well as Ethics and Anti-Corruption Commission CEO Twalib Mbaraka, were among those awarded the Moran of the Order of the Golden Heart (M.G.H.) honour.
Others who received the MGH award are Nakuru Senator Tabitha Karanja, Prof. Ahluwalia Mohinder Singh, Mr. Khawaja Adil Arshed, Mr. Busiega Joseph Ngaira, and Ms. Nkoroi Juster Nkirote.
