Politician Issues Request to Ruto After Ambassadorial Nominee Turns Down Offer
West Mugirango Member of Parliament, Stephen Mogaka, issued an apology to President William Ruto following the refusal of a state job offer by former legislator Vincent Mogaka.
In a communication dated April 9th, the Member of Parliament conveyed his dissatisfaction regarding Vincent Mogaka’s choice to decline the nomination for the position of Kenyan High Commissioner to Ghana.
MP Stephen Mogaka stated that the role he was offered carried significant responsibility and provided an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to Kenya’s interests in Ghana.
“I understand that personal circumstances and reasons for declining the appointment may vary. I cannot help but feel uneasy about the implications of this decision,” the MP noted.
MP Stephen Mogaka conveyed his dissatisfaction with the former lawmaker and urged the head of state to contemplate appointing a capable individual from West Mugirango Constituency for the position instead.
The West Mugirango legislator stated that he was the individual who encouraged President Ruto to provide Vincent Kemosi with a job, which Kemosi ultimately declined.

“I take the liberty to separately suggest to you your Excellency several Curriculum vitae to consider along with other persons you might be having in mind,” MP Stephen Mogaka stated.
“We value your magnanimity and mentorship of young leaders and trust that the conduct of one of our own does not curtail your love for us and your relentless commitment to genuinely change Kenyans’ lives.”
On Tuesday, April 9th, Vincent Kemosi announced his decision to decline the nomination for the position of Kenya’s High Commissioner to Accra, Ghana.
Kemosi communicated with the Clerk of the National Assembly, expressing his decision to reject the position due to personal familial concerns, despite its attractiveness.
“I want to give my appreciation for the invitation to appear before the Departmental Committee on Defence Intelligence and Foreign Relations, I wish to inform you that I will not appear before the said Committee for approval,” the letter read in part.
“This has been occasioned by my personal and compelling family matters which after taking into consideration will not allow me to take up the position of High Commissioner to Ghana.”
