Police Reveal Blunder That Led to Tahmeed Bus Collision With Fuel Tanker
The reason behind the Friday accident involving a fuel tanker and a Tahmeed Bus has been disclosed.
As per information from a police report acquired by Gossipa2z.com, the tanker driver neglected to follow traffic regulations that mandate staying within their designated lane.
The report also disclosed that the fuel tanker driver, traveling from Kisumu to Busia, tried to pass another vehicle and collided with the incoming bus.
As a consequence of the collision, both vehicles caught fire, leading to intense blazes that caused extensive injuries to multiple passengers, rendering them unrecognizable due to burns.
Law enforcement officials have confirmed that the individual operating the fuel tanker, a 36-year-old man, passed away, whereas the driver of the Tahmeed bus suffered fractures in both legs.
The co-driver suffered head injuries, and the conductor experienced a dislocation in his left hand as well.

Four Ugandan citizens, along with other Kenyan passengers, emerged from the Tahmeed bus unharmed.
In addition to the driver of the fuel tanker, a woman who was a passenger on the bus also suffered the tragic fate of being reduced to ashes.
“All the victims rushed to Busia Referral Hospital where they are being attended and two dead bodies removed to the Busia Referral Hospital Mortuary pending postmortem and identifications,” the police report read in part.
Initiatives have been initiated to find the family of the female passenger.
“While one of the deceased has not yet been identified, efforts are in progress to trace the relatives.”
Moreover, the Busia County Government promptly sent the Fire and Rescue Service to the location to extinguish the fire.
“The fire has been put off and arrangements to recover wreckage are underway. The prime mover was burnt but the tanker carrying diesel was rescued,” read part of the police report.
