“No Employer Will Employ Gen Zs, Their Mentality Is a Disaster,” Says Businessman Sam Kariuki
A concerned Kenyan businessman has expressed his views on the employability of Gen Z in light of their involvement in recent anti-government protests.
Sam Kariuki asserted that today’s youth often exhibit an unchangeable or untamable mentality.
Kariuki reacts to Gen Z’s behavior during protests
In a shared video, he pointed to the recent protests, which resulted in significant disruptions to businesses owned by Gen Z employers, as indicative of their overall behavior.
“Who is going to employ these Gen Z? The mentality that has come into play is that of rejection and that cannot be controlled. Who will employ somebody with such kind of mentality? I said there was a lack of foresight with the whole movement. Remember that the people you are fighting, and the businesses you are burning are the same individuals with your jobs,” he said.
According to Kariuki, many employers prefer candidates whom they can mentor and introduce to new ideas, enabling them to integrate into the company’s operational framework seamlessly.
