Ndindi Nyoro Opposes Bipartisan Talks, Calls for Termination
A close ally of President William Ruto, Ndindi Nyoro, has dismissed the ongoing bipartisan discussions as a waste of time.
Ndindi, who has called for the resumption of the discussions next week, asserts that Kenyans went to the polls last year and elected their leader.
According to the lawmaker, the bipartisan negotiations team’s top priority should be to end the fruitless discussions.
Ndindi stated that the nation cannot be awoken each day and night by politics and leadership struggles.
‘The people who hired us, the wananchi, spoke last year and determined who will lead them and who will be opposition leader or hold the government accountable,’ he said.
“Therefore, as Ndindi Nyoro and the people of Murang’a, Kiharu, and Kenya in general, we are pleading that when the talks resume tomorrow, the first item on the agenda should be to end the talks,” he added.
Speaking at St Mary’s catholic cathedral church in his Kiharu constituency, the member of parliament called for an end to the talks, asserting that the Kenya Kwanza government should continue with its development agenda for the mwananchi, including road and water projects.
‘We are opposed to these so-called bipartisan talks,’ he said. ‘They should cease immediately, as we don’t need them as a country, as all that is required in Kenya is development.’
