The Council of Economic Advisors, headed by economist David Ndii, is among the experts set to receive Ksh1.3 billion for the fiscal year 2024/25 as part of the National Treasury’s proposed budget.

This funding is part of the Ksh5.37 billion allocated to President William Ruto’s office, which represents an increase from the Ksh4.03 billion assigned to his office in 2023/24.

The Programme Budget, released on Thursday, emphasizes that the Advisory Services are crucial to supporting the Executive Office of the President in fulfilling its duties.

These services will be divided into six sub-programs, including Kenya-South Sudan Advisory, Power of Mercy Advisory Services, Counter-Terrorism Advisory Services, Economic and Social Affairs, Strategic Policy Advisory Services, and Public Entities Oversight Services.

For Kenya-South Sudan Advisory Services, the goal is to fully implement advisories to strengthen relations with South Sudan through the Liaison office.
