Mysterious White Balloon Spotted over Honolulu, Hawaii

Numerous pilots have reported observing a large white balloon above Honolulu, Hawaii.

The depicted sighting is one of numerous recent sightings of what could be anything from unidentified aerial phenomena to international conflict.

It comes just days after US officials claimed that a previously downed Chinese “spy” balloon that had been aimed at the state of Hawaii was blown off course by the wind.

“Is this China or is the U.S. Air Force about to shoot down another weather balloon by accident?” another tweet questioned.

Air Traffic Control or other United States officials have not yet confirmed these reports.

Several pilots reportedly spotted the mysterious flying object.

An online image depicts what appears to be a pilot holding a note in the cockpit.

This message reads: “Large white balloon reported in the vicinity of 2639N150W. Approximately between FL400 and FL500. Unknown altitude precision. Advise ATC if the object is seen.”

Sunday, the Oakland Oceanic Air Traffic Control Center confirmed the flying object’s existence, according to BNO News.

According to the source, this unidentified flying object was spotted at an altitude of up to 50,000 feet.

It is currently unknown who the object belongs to or what level of threat it poses to the public.

The US military has shot down multiple balloons this month.

Sky News reported that a suspected Chinese spy balloon was shot down off the coast of South Carolina on February 4.

Additionally, suspicious flying objects were shot at on February 11 and February 12.

After the crash, remnants of the balloon were taken, and it is believed that Hawaii and Guam were their intended destinations, but it was taken off course.

This was the only instance in which remnants of the suspicious balloon were recovered.

One of the remaining two crashed into the snowy Alaskan coastline, while the other crashed into the Yukon territory in Canada.

The public anticipates a Thursday address by Vice President Joe Biden that will address the objects.

In addition, he will reveal the administration’s protocol regarding aerial warfare balloons and other flying objects.
