Mutahi Ngunyi’s Urgent Warning to Ruto Post-Raila’s Saba Saba Rally

Political Analyst Mutahi Ngunyi has issued a warning to President William Ruto after Azimio la Umoja leader Raila Odinga drew a massive crowd to Nairobi’s Central Business District on Friday during the Saba Saba demonstrations.

Ngunyi stated in a tweet that the massive crowd indicated that President William Ruto’s position was precarious.

“This image frightened me. It is an earth swell. You cannot purchase these masses. And the messenger can be killed, but not the message. The antagonist is not Raila. The People are the enemy. The only thing these individuals have to lose is their chains. “Do not be irreverent,” he stated.

Ngunyi then provided President Ruto with an example of France cautioning him that revolutions begin modestly.

“Revolutions are initiated in small increments – Gradually. Then they acquire an independent existence. Currently, France is on fire. In 1789, when the French asked the Oligarchs to lower the price of bread, they replied, “…If you cannot eat bread, eat cake.” “Dear Ruto,” he added, “if you cannot eat bread, eat cake.”

Raila led massive Saba Saba protests in Nairobi on Friday and entered the Central Business District for the first time.

The demonstrations also occurred throughout the nation, with Azimio Leaders leading separate events in each region.

Raila stated after the Demos that it was an accomplishment to reach the CBD.

“Wengine walikua wanataka tupenduke turudi lakini vijana wakasema tunaenda mbele… tulipofika kwa hii round about ya racecourse polisi walikua wameweka barrier wakatupa teargas ikaisha wakatoroka tukaingia town.

“Hiyo ndio achievement kubwa sana, kwa mara ya kwanza tumeingia town, tukafika hadi KICC yenye hawakua wanataka tuingie na tukapita mpaka tukafika Central Park,” Said Raila.

The Azimio protests will continue on Wednesday of the following week.
