Museveni on the Road to Recovery: Brother Confirms Improvement After Covid Diagnosis
According to his brother Shadrack Kaguta, Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni, who tested positive for Covid-19 on June 7, is no longer in danger. Kaguta made this announcement on Tuesday.
According to Kaguta, the elderly man, who is 78 years old, is currently sequestered and will have what could be his last Covid-19 test on Thursday.
The President is no longer in any immediate danger. According to what he was quoted as saying in the Monitor newspaper, “I just so happened to get in touch with him yesterday on the phone, and he told me that he is fine and that he is simply following the standard operating procedures from the Ministry of Health as he waits for the final test, which will probably take place on Thursday of this week.”

He went on to say that the president, who has been in office for 37 years, has begun his normal duties, such as “handling some paperwork while in isolation.”
These words were spoken by Kaguta during a national prayer service that was held in Kampala, the nation’s capital, to ask God to heal Museveni.
During the height of the COVID-19 pandemic, Uganda implemented some of the most stringent containment measures in all of Africa.
These measures included curfews, the closure of businesses and schools, as well as the closing of borders and other entry points.
The grand reopening took place in February 2022.
During the pandemic, President Museveni, who is immune to the COVID virus, was always seen in public while wearing a mask.
He has always carried out his official responsibilities while maintaining a social distance, and he has frequently observed meeting with visitors while sitting alone in a tent on the lawn of his office.
