Mum Strangles Sons, Commits Murder-Suicide in Tragic Tragedy
A MOTHER is suspected of killing her two young sons and then committing suicide.
It is believed that Nadja De Jager, 47, strangled or suffocated her sons Alexander, nine, and Maximus, seven, and then committed suicide.
Mum Strangles Sons, Commits Murder-Suicide in Tragic Tragedy. Thursday morning, their bodies were discovered in their home after police received a call expressing concern for the family’s welfare.
Swedish divorcee Nadja and her two sons were pronounced dead at the scene.
Detectives stated that they were not searching for anyone else in connection with the gruesome discovery at the three-bedroom Belvedere, South London terrace house.
There was no weapon involved, and post-mortem examinations will be conducted to determine the exact causes of death.
Detective Inspector Ollie Stride stated, “This is a tragic case, and we are still investigating the events that led to this tragedy.”
Neighbors stated that Nadja and the father of her children, Herman De Jager, had separated for some time.
Yesterday, the driveway was still littered with toys, where a Mitsubishi pickup truck with a child’s scooter inside was parked.
Marion Beazer, 69, who lives across the street, stated, “As far as I know, they were a typical family.” Seeing the children’s toys outside tugs at the heartstrings. It’s just dreadful.”

Before her husband resigned as a director, Nadja, a graduate who spoke Croatian, Spanish, and English, had co-managed a real estate company with him.
At the scene, heartfelt tributes were left for the boys and their families.
One touching note read: “To Alex and Maxy’s family. Our deepest condolences on the passing of your lovely sons and their mother. We are considering you. “Respect the Mandalias”
Noah, their son, wrote, “I will miss you in class and when we played games together. “Farewell, Noah,”
Neighbors of Nadja De Jager described her and her children’s deaths as “heartbreaking.”
In addition, heartbreaking videos show the two brothers playing at home just months before they and their mother were discovered dead.
In footage uploaded to YouTube in June of 2012, children can be seen constructing a playhouse on what appears to be the back deck of their home.
Alex and Max work together to assemble the colorful components.
In another April 2021 clip, young Max performs a magic trick in which he makes his name appear on a tray of water.
In two additional videos, Alex reads rhyming poems, including one titled The Bear.
