Mt. Kenya Leaders React to Raila’s 3-Day Demo Call
Some leaders of Mount Kenya have issued a stern warning. To former Prime Minister Raila Odinga, imploring him to immediately cease his weekly protests.
The leaders argue that Raila’s persistent demonstrations are sabotaging the economy. And should be halted so the government can implement its campaign promises.
Edward Muriu, a member of parliament from Gatanga, expressed his concerns to Gossipa2z on Sunday, stating that the Kenya Kwanza administration is intent on instituting reforms that will benefit all citizens.
Muriu underscored the importance of allowing the government sufficient time to fulfill its commitments, rather than obstructing progress through frequent protests.
“The government’s agenda has been outlined, and we must support Ruto and [Rigathi] Gachagua’s endeavors to improve the country. Muriu argued that Raila’s weekly demonstrations impede development and hurt the economy.
In addition, he emphasized that the government will not tolerate anyone inciting others under the pretext of demonstrations, and he emphasized the significance of maintaining law and order.
We cannot permit certain individuals to manipulate the populace and incite them to disrupt public order. These actions are counterproductive and threaten the stability of the nation. he said.
Muriu’s sentiments were echoed by Kipipiri representative Wanjiku Muhia, who stated that Raila was using demonstrations as a ploy to pursue a handshake agreement.

Muhia remarked that President Ruto and Gachagua are devoted to enhancing the lives of Kenyans through the implementation of sustainable economic reforms.
Muhia stated, “Let us concentrate on concrete solutions that will improve the lives of Kenyans.”
She had faith in the administration’s capacity to address pressing issues such as unemployment, poverty, and corruption. She urged Raila to work constructively with the administration instead of holding weekly protests.
Wavinya Ndeti, governor of Machakos, had also cautioned leaders against polarizing the nation, imploring Kenyans to promote peace and unity.
Ndeti tweeted on Thursday, “I emphasize the need for dialogue and constructive engagement among our leaders.”
Former Mt Kenya MCA caucus chairman Charles Mwangi (Ichagaki) has also stated that Azimio protests are unhealthy and that the differences must be resolved.
He urged Raila and Ruto to engage in dialogue, noting that the demonstrations will polarize the nation and frighten potential investors.
His remarks came three days after anti-government protests wreaked havoc on the nation.
Ruto stated on Friday that the government will not permit planned opposition demonstrations to occur the following week.
He stated he “cannot accept anarchy” in the nation.

“There will no longer be demonstrations in our nation of Kenya. He told supporters in Nakuru County that the event scheduled for Wednesday would not be feasible.
Albert Kasembeli, a political analyst and columnist, has stated that it is time for leaders to cease verbal assaults that could plunge the nation back into the post-election violence of 2007-2008.
He urged everyone to refrain from violence and devastation in favor of initiatives that foster harmony and progress.
“Let us all embrace peace and unity for the growth and prosperity of the country,” he urged.
