MP Silvanus Osoro to Raila: No Suluhu Needed, We’ll Solve Our Own Issues!
Whip of the National Assembly’s majority, Sylvanus Osoro, has criticized Raila Odinga for his desire to involve Tanzanian President Samia Suluhu in the resolution of Kenya’s internal issues.
Osoro stated during a meeting on agriculture in Nyamira County on Thursday, July 28 that the issues can be resolved locally and that external mediation is unnecessary.
“I would like to inform Raila Odinga that Samia Suluhu is not necessary if he wishes to discuss the excessive cost of living. She must govern her own country. So you want her to travel to Kenya and meet with Ruto to discuss the price of beans when she already has her farm in Tanzania?
The hard-hitting nature Osoro added that if Odinga wishes to speak with the President, he should accompany him on his county development visits, where he will be allowed to do so publicly.

“I wish to inform Odinga that Ruto is currently in the Coast region. “If you want to address him, you must go there, where you will be given a microphone,” he said.
His statement comes days after Odinga accused Ruto of ignoring his Tanzanian counterpart, whom he allegedly invited.
According to Odinga, Suluhu was to preside over mediation discussions between the President and himself [Odinga]. He would later assert that Ruto did not attend.
However, the government has denied claims that Suluhu was in the country at the President’s invitation to mediate negotiations between the two parties.
Every visiting head of state adheres to the established protocols, which are always administered by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. However, this does not rule out the possibility of a president visiting Kenya for vacation or private business, State House Spokesman Hussein Mohammed told reporters on Wednesday.
