Moses Kuria Slams Cabinet as ‘Inept and Broken’
Moses Kuria, the former Cabinet Secretary for Performance Management and Public Service, asserted that the recently dismissed Cabinet was already flawed and showing signs of instability.
In an interview with Citizen TV on Sunday, Kuria confirmed that the Cabinet faced significant challenges in conducting business and holding committee meetings.
He also mentioned that there were attempts by some members to stage coups and overthrow the current regime.
“We had difficulties even holding cabinet committees, and I support giving the President a chance to reform his government,” Kuria said.
Kuria added that the Cabinet should have been dissolved long before the President dismissed the Cabinet Secretaries.

He expressed his support for the President’s plan to form an inclusive Cabinet that would unite all Kenyans. This came after President Ruto hinted at collaborating with Azimio in upcoming Cabinet appointments.
Kuria also apologized to Kenyan youth, acknowledging that he had underestimated the power and influence of the Gen-Z movement.
“Gen Zs have proven me wrong. They have shown that they can be a significant force in driving this country forward. If I could make a wish, I would want to be Gen Z,” he added.
Meanwhile, former Youth and Sports Affairs CS, Ababu Namwamba, expressed confidence that he had done his best in his role.
He pointed to Kenya’s successful bid to host the African Cup of Nations (AFCON) in 2027 and the qualification of the Harambee Junior Starlets for the FIFA U-17 World Cup as key accomplishments.
“I believe I have done a fantastic job. We have revived sports, lifted FIFA’s suspension of football, and secured AFCON’s first-ever visit to Kenya,” Namwamba stated.
