Mombasa Woman’s Brother Joins Cult: Burns Certificates, Throws Books in Toilet.

A Mombasa woman has described how family members changed after joining the church of the controversial preacher Paul Mackenzie.

Roselina Asena made the revelation on Monday, April 23, as the exhumation of bodies from Mackenzie’s property entered its fourth day and the death toll from his cult reached 68.

The Brother of Asena joins a cult.

Asena stated in an interview with Citizen TV that it all began a few years ago when her brother quit drinking.

By 2019, her brother and his wife had joined Mackenzie’s Good News International church in its entirety.

Additionally, Asena’s brother prevented his children from attending school, and the couple relocated to Malindi.

He destroyed his credentials, and when his wife became pregnant, she did not seek hospital care because it was against church doctrine.

She narrated, “He changed into a person I could no longer recognize, and when I tried to talk to him about seeking medical help, we would end up in a fight.”

The couple also recruited Asena’s younger sister, who frequently preached about the end of the world after joining the church.

Asena recognized two of the arrested individuals as her brother and his wife.

“I’m going to Malindi to search for his five children, whose whereabouts are unknown. Our hope and prayer are that they have left them alone and that they are in a safe location,” she said.

Yesu Wa Tongaren retaliates against Pastor Mackenzie.

In other news, Yesu Wa Tongaren criticized Paul McKenzie, the leader of a cult in Malindi, for misleading his followers.

McKenzie, according to the self-proclaimed Messiah, should have led his followers to him rather than down a perilous path.

Yesu cited scriptures indicating that the followers perished due to ignorance.

Further, he cited Matthew 7:15: “Beware of false prophets.” They approach you in sheep’s clothing, but they are ferocious wolves.”
