Miraculous Escape: Ena Coach Bus Fire on Narok-Mai Mahiu Highway
A few hours after departing Nairobi, more than 49 occupants of an ENA Coach bus escaped unharmed after the bus burst into flames along the Narok-Mai Mahiu.
According to preliminary reports, the incident occurred when one of the wheels became punctured.
After detecting the malfunction, the driver attempted to draw over, but the vehicle caught fire, most likely due to the punctured wheel’s impact on the road surface.
The incident occurred early Wednesday morning.
A representative of the ENA coach verified the incident to PoliticalPulseChat but declined to elaborate because he is not authorized to speak to the press.
A video that circulated online depicted the entire bus being consumed by fire despite the efforts of the passengers to extinguish it.

Several bus passengers lost valuables in the accident, but fortunately, no one was injured.
Since June, at least three instances of vehicles catching fire in Kenya have resulted in at least one fatality.
On June 27, for instance, a family of five narrowly averted death along the Embu-Meru Highway after their vehicle veered off the road and caught fire.
Despite their injuries, the family members were rescued by well-wishers and transported to Kyeni Mission Hospital.
It was determined that the accident was caused by the slippery road conditions caused by persistent rainfall, which caused the car to slide off the road.
In a separate incident, the driver of a lorry was killed when the vehicle caught fire following an accident on the Nakuru – Eldoret Highway in the Ngata Baraka Area.
According to a preliminary assessment made by Nakuru Police officers, the vehicle transporting sacks of maize to various parts of the region appeared to have lost control. The vehicle initially encountered mechanical difficulties before colliding with a matatu and eventually catching fire.
