The Winter edition of the hit ITV2 show will premiere on Tuesday, January 17th at midnight, and will be hosted by the show’s new host, Maya Jama. Maya takes over for Laura Whitmore, who left the show at the end of the previous series.

With the ninth series premiering tomorrow night, viewers have gotten a first look at Maya’s arrival, and she certainly arrives in style, landing near the South African villa in a helicopter and colliding with the group of male Islanders.

A helicopter circles over the Villa as the new series begins, and the pilot announces, “Maya Jama on board.” As the plane touches down, a glamorous Maya steps out and heads towards the villa, ready for the new series.

“It’s a new year, in a brand new Villa, it’s a stunning location ready for some sexy singles looking for love, all we need now are some Islanders,” she says as she enters the posh new villa and meets the boys.

“Hello boys, you alright, shall we have a little chat?” she says, turning to face them.

The boys then form a line to await the arrival of the girls, but who will couple up, and will there be any snakey moves so early on? Will any of the Islanders fall in love at first sight when they meet their new villa mates?

Maya previously revealed her interest in hosting the new series, revealing she’s been a fan of the show for years.

“I’ve been a fan for a long time. It was the first reality show, other than Big Brother, that I made a point of watching and that everyone in my family and friends raved about “She stated.

“Everyone gets involved, and everyone has an opinion, from the elderly to the children. It’s just fun to see how people react in different situations and imagine what you would do if you were in the same situation.”

“Most of us have had a bit of a holiday romance before, and it’s like watching that on TV,” she added.
