Man Hacks To Death His Two Children, Niece And Househelp In Bomet
In the rural town of Silibwet, situated in Bomet County, a ghastly incident unfolded on Friday that left the community in shock and horror.
The perpetrator of this heinous act was identified as 45-year-old Robert Kilel, who callously took the lives of four individuals, including his own two children, a relative’s child, and a househelp, in a gruesome display of violence.
The chilling episode began when Kilel, armed with a menacing machete, embarked on a merciless killing spree, hacking his victims indiscriminately.
The casualties of his brutality included his 2-year-old daughter, 16-year-old son, 8-year-old niece, and a 16-year-old house help. The nature of the attack and the brutality inflicted upon the victims resulted in their tragic demise.
Deputy Police Commander Ali Bashir of Bomet Central sub-county provided grim details of the incident. Kilel, seizing an opportune moment when his wife was away in Silibwet town, returned to his residence armed with a Maasai machete.
The horrifying sequence of events commenced with him slashing his daughter under the cheek.

Subsequently, he replicated this brutal act on his niece, inflicting fatal injuries.
The househelp also fell victim to Kilel’s merciless assault, enduring multiple cuts. The 16-year-old son made an attempt to escape the onslaught, but Kilel pursued and caught up with him, sealing his tragic fate.
Following the barbaric act, the assailant managed to evade authorities, prompting an immediate and intense manhunt to bring him to justice.
The fleeing culprit left behind a scene of unspeakable horror as the lifeless bodies of the victims lay in their homes.
In the aftermath, the authorities took swift action, relocating the deceased to the Tenwek hospital mortuary to ensure proper preservation.
The community, grappling with the shock and grief of this appalling incident, awaits justice for the innocent lives lost at the hands of Robert Kilel.
