Man Hacks 4 Family Members to Death Under Unclear Circumstances in Kisumu
Authorities have initiated a search for a man believed to be responsible for the fatal hacking of four of his relatives on Saturday night in the Milenya area of Muhoroni, situated in Kisumu County.
The individual who remains unidentified is alleged to have unlawfully gained access to his wife, who was five months pregnant, and his five-year-old son, both of whom were discovered unconscious in their residence.
Family members’ accounts suggest they witnessed a pool of blood emanating from the family residence, only to discover the two individuals with severe lacerations.
Moreover, the individual continued to his uncle’s residence, where he enticed him by explaining that he was required to mediate a dispute between two siblings.
Nevertheless, he assaulted him with a machete before swiftly escaping the area, abandoning the deceased 78-year-old man at his residence located 1 kilometer away from where he had murdered his wife and son.
“The moment he stepped out, he was hacked on the head twice and he dropped down dead,” a relative narrated.
He is also said to have killed his 58-year-old aunt who was the wife to the deceased uncle before disappearing into a nearby sugarcane plantation.
The remains of the deceased were transferred to the morgue in the Ahero sub-county for examination and additional inquiries.

The reason for the killing of the four individuals remains unknown at this time. According to the suspect’s family members, there were no apparent conflicts between him and his relatives.
As per his family members, the individual possesses a stable mental state and has never displayed any tendencies towards violence.
They further explained that he had a peaceful demeanor, consistently favoring discussions to resolve conflicts whenever they arose.
Moreover, they mentioned that the individual in question had no prior record of substance misuse or alcohol dependency, highlighting his consistently composed demeanor.
This instance follows a string of homicides across the nation, with documented incidents on the rise.
Several weeks ago, a man turned himself in at a police station in Kilifi County following the fatal stabbing of his wife, while another man fatally stabbed his wife in Juja, Kiambu County just a week prior.
