Man Accused of Killing Lover and Documenting it Online Found Dead in Thika

The lifeless body of a man accused of killing his lover and documenting the premeditated murder online was discovered in Thika, Kiambu County on Monday, March 11, days after he went into hiding.

The man who worked as a security guard is accused of killing his lover, with whom he had a daughter.

Over the weekend, the man in question caught the attention of Kenyans, after he in a thread shared online hinted at killing his lover over her decision to leave him.

The man became aggrieved after being left despite seeing the lady through higher education including paying her entire school fees at the Murang’a University of Technology.

The deceased explained that the two had entered into a relationship back in 2016 while still in school before they started cohabiting later on.

From the texts shared online, the man claimed that he used to work at night and take care of their daughter during the day while his lover was in school.

However, the man complained that after his lover graduated and got a good job, she changed her behavior.

He accused her of being unfaithful and being in communication with two different men.

He also shared text messages allegedly exchanged between his wife and the two men. He also questioned why she abandoned their relationship so abruptly.

“Rest well my queen. I loved you but you loved someone else. Choices have consequences,” he wrote after his wife’s death on March 7.

While sharing his story online, the man tagged major media houses, and the Directorate of Criminal Investigations (DCI) but did not get a response.

Additionally, the man remarked that he was sharing his experiences to serve as a lesson to other people about the dangers of being unfaithful in a relationship.

His confession stunned Kenyans who argued that if the DCI had responded on time, both lives could have been saved.

Kenyans also criticized the man for taking such drastic measures instead of ending the relationship. Additionally, Kenyans pointed out that a failed relationship is not the end of life.

Further, they suggested that the man should have surrendered himself to the police to avoid leaving the girl as an orphan.
