Machogu Unveils KUCCPS Placement Results; How To Check Your Student’s Allocation
Education Cabinet Secretary (CS) Ezekiel Machogu has published the Kenya Universities and Colleges Central Placement Service (KUCCPS) placement results for the 2023/2024 academic year.
Machogu stated during Monday’s event that KUCCPS processed the applications of the 2022 KCSE cohort based solely on choice and merit.
According to Machogu, of the 870,561 candidates eligible for placements in universities and institutions, only 285,698 submitted placement applications through the KUCCPS portal.
285,167 applicants were accepted into degree, diploma, and arts programs at 282 educational institutions.
“A total of 140,107 students were accepted into university programs, with 130,484 accepted to public universities and 9,622 accepted to private universities,” he said.
“144,500 individuals were assigned in TVETs, and 560 in secondary teacher preparation programs. 9,673 graduates of degree programs opted to enroll in TVET institutions.

Checking Placement on the KUCCPS System
Students must use their personal information to access the students.kuccps.net website.
Students must enter their username (KCSE complete index number), year (2022), and password (birth certificate number) to log in.
Once on the platform, the student’s dashboard will display a message with placement information in the following format:
“Congratulations, followed by the university at which you’ve been accepted and then the program you’ll pursue.”
Students can also access their placement information via SMS by transmitting their Index Numbers to the number 20842.
Recently, KUCCPS began accepting student applications for the Kenya Medical Training College (KMTC).
“KMTC courses are now available for enrollment on the KUCCPS student portal. The application deadline for the induction in September 2023 is August 4, 2023.
