Lamu County Louis Kipngetich Ronoh is Dead
His demise was announced by the National Government Administrative Officers (NGAOs) in a statement Thursday evening.
โThis evening, we find ourselves in a somber mood as we remember Louis Kipngetich Ronoh, County Commissioner of Lamu County, who has sadly departed following a brief illness.โ
The statement said Ronoh had until his death served with distinction as a National Government Administrative Officer for 27 years of his life.
โHis recent promotion to County Commissioner on March 16, 2023, was a testament to his exemplary service and commitment. We extend our sincere condolences to Ronoh’s family, relatives, and friends during this difficult time,โ the statement added.
Interior Principal Secretary Raymond Omollo mourned Ronohโs death and described him as a diligent officer.

โIt is with a profound sense of sorrow that I have learned about the untimely passing away of Louis Kipngetich Ronoh, after a short illness,โ he said.
โWith over 27 years of experience, the late Ronoh will be remembered for his selflessness in the service of others and the country. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family and friends,โ Omollo added.
Ronoh was among 12 deputy county commissioners who were on March 7, 2023, promoted to county commissioners by Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki.
The CS made the announcement when he made a major reshuffle of county commissioners in a move he said was aimed at enhancing service delivery within the national administration.
During the reshuffle, 20 county commissioners were transferred to new stations, four were recalled to the ministry headquarters for redeployment and 15 were retained in their stations.
Eight deputy commissioners were also transferred to new counties in the changes.
