    KPLC Schedules Power Interruption in Three Counties Sunday

    KPLC Schedules Power Interruption in Three Counties Sunday

    Kenya Power has scheduled power interruption in parts of Nairobi, Machakos, and Kiambu on Sunday. 

    The utility firm said on Saturday the interruption is part of network maintenance. 

    Areas to be affected in Nairobi include 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 5th Parklands between 9 am to 5 pm.

    Part of Limuru Road, Swaminarayan Temple, Batubatu Road, Acculaser Institute, Agakhan Hospital, Avenue Hospital, City Park Estate, and adjacent customers will also be affected.

    Commercial streets will also be affected from 9 am to 5 pm.  

    Others are Dunga Road, Dunga Close, Manchester Outfitters, Ministry of Water, Ministry of Public Works, KEMSA, Mecol, Welfast, NITA, Commercial Street, Bunyala Road, Carbacid Gases, Baricho Road, Bungoma Road, CFF Ministry, Chinese Construction Co., Wiru Road, Carrefour, Toyota Kenya, Highway Mall, DHL, G4S, Mantrack Caterpillar and adjacent customers.

    Areas around Landi Mawe will also go without power from 9 am to 8 pm. 

    Those living opposite City Stadium, Lusaka Road, Factory Street, Kenya Post and Telecommunication, Pemba Street, General Industries, Yoga House, Part of Unga, Landi Mawe, Rocky Driving School, Kenya Railways, Numerical, Workshop Road and adjacent customers will also be affected.ย

    In Machakos County, parts of Mombasa Road and Athi River will be affected from 9 am to 5 pm. 

    Particularly part of Mlolongo Town, KPLC Office Mlolongo, Signature Mall, Athi 55, and adjacent customers.

    Residents of Kay Quarry, Kenya Builders, EPCO, Bizrock, Hyoung, Aristocrats, Veevee Quarry, WAKS, Bluestone, Silverstone, Suraya, SS Mehta, Shajanand, Superstone, Katani Shopping, Kambi, China WU YI, Rhombus, DM Concrete, Part of Mlolongo, Karsam Ramji, Halai, National Concrete and adjacent customers will as well experience the scheduled power outage.

    Kenya Power said its technicians will also be doing system upgrades in Kiambu County between 8 am and 10 am.

    Areas to be affected are Kiambu Town, Githunguri Town, Ting’ang’a, Ndumberi, Karuri, Banana, Kiambaa, Muchatha, Kanunga, Ndumberi, Kamiti Corner, Njathaini Rd, Edenville, Mugumo, Kiamumbi, Kirigiti, Riabai, Kiambu High, Kirima Tent, Kambaa, Kagwe, Gitwe, Ikinu, Githiga, Gathaithi, Githunguri Town and Norbrook. 

    Residents and businesses around ACME, Kentemere, Maramba, Ngorongo Tea Factories, Kambaa, Kagwe, and adjacent customers will also be affected by the two-hour outage.
