    KPLC Announces Power Interruptions In Five Counties Thursday

    KPLC Announces Power Interruptions In Five Counties Thursday

    Kenya Power has announced scheduled power interruptions across five counties on Thursday.

    The utility firm said the interruptions will occur at diverse times of the day in Nairobi, Kajiado, Uasin Gishu, Busia, and Meru. 

    In Nairobi, affected areas will experience power interruptions from 9am to 5pm.

    They include T-Mall, Moi Education, Kogo Flats, Kenya School of Blind, Magaribi Place, Quick Estate, Space Apartments, Wilson Airport, AMREF, Weston Hotel, Langata Primary, Sunshine School, Dam Est, Prisons Telkom and adjacent customers.

    Areas around Ongata Rongai that will face interruptions are the Maxwell University, Acacia Estate, Olesakunda, Magenche, Exciting, Kimandiro, Total Area, Laiser Hill, Nairobi Women Hospital, Fatima Hospital, Fatima South and North and part of Kware.

    Others are Tuskys, Kingdom Hall, Wama Hospital, Rongai Town and Sinai Hospital in Kajiado.

    In Uasin Gishu County, the scheduled power interruption will occur between 9am and 4pm.

    Areas to be affected include Cheplaskei, Outspan, Oletepes, Kimuri, Kabongo, Lelmokwo, Sigoit, Chepkemel, Ndalat, Sangalo Tea Factory, Mlango, Taborwa, St. Brigit, Chepkemel and adjacent customers.

    In Busia County, power will go off from 9 am to 5pm in Amase Primary School, Polytechnic and Dispensary, Amongโ€™ura, Asingโ€™ee, Kakoli, Omoloi, Ospata, Ngโ€™elechom and adjacent customers.

    In Meru, Meru Prisons, Sayern Super, Milimani Mewass, Milimani Hon Rahimโ€™s Residence are among the areas to go without power from 9am to 5pm.

    Others are areas around Police Station, AP Line, Karen Hospital, Meru Referral Hospital, Kooje, Mwiriene, Law Court, County National Assembly and Post Office.

    Alba Hotel, Slopes Hotel, Royal Prince, Bradegate, Equity Bank Town, Prestige Hotel, ABSA Bank, Hart Towers, ABC Bank, Co-op Bank, Magunas Supermarket will also be without power during the scheduled interruption period.

    Maathai Supermarket, Society Sacco, Central Bank, KCB Bank, Family Bank, Meru Central and Diamond Trust in Meru will also be affected.

    Other parts of Meru that will go without power supply include Gakoromone, Kirunga Shell Petrol Station, Mwariama Station, Mwalimu Mixed, Meru Girls, Prof Kaimenyi Residence, Kiambogo C/F, Thimangiri, Mulathankari, Thuura C/F, Mukongorone Pri Sch, Mbeu, Kamukara, Kambi Ya Nyanyua, Rwanyange and Kabaone Ndurumo among others.

    Kenya Power usually notifies customers of scheduled power interruptions which it says is necessary to allow system maintenance.
