KPLC: 13 Counties to Experience Power Interruption Tuesday
Kenya Power has released a list of areas set to experience power interruption due to scheduled maintenance on Tuesday.
In a statement on Monday, the utility firm announced that some areas in 13 counties will experience power outages.
The counties to be affected are Nairobi, Uasin Gishu, Kiambu, Kwale, Homa Bay, Trans Nzoia, Migori, Nyamira, Kisii, Nyeri, Kirinyaga, Bungoma and Busia.
The listed areas will experience power interruption at diverse times of the day.
Nairobi County
Brookside Drive, Grevillea Groove, Muguga Green, and Brookside Gard will experience power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.
At the same time, part of Ngong Road and Kibera will be affected. Specific areas are part of Miotoni Rd, Lenana Sch, Bee Keeping, Ngando Area, Gikuyu Close, Mama Wahu, Meteorological Dept, Polo Club, Jamhuri Show Grnd, Rowland Camp, NCC Askari Hses, Ngong Forest Stn, Ayany, Suna Est, Santack Est, Professional Centre, Posta Playground, Talanta Academy Stadium and adjacent customers.
Uasin Gishu County
Ngecheck and Ngeria areas will experience power interruption from 9 am to 4 pm.
The specific places to be affected are Belkenya, Momoniat, Ngeria Water, Ngecheck, Kapnyamisa, Lelboinet, Ndubenet, Ngara Falls, Lengebet, Mogoget, Mateget, Kipsasuron, Kolonget, and adjacent customers.
Trans Nzoia County
Chepchoina, Kimondo, and Suam areas have been scheduled for power interruption from 9 am to 5 pm.
The exact locations listed are Anderson Flowers, Chepchoina, Kimondo Umoja, Duka Moja, Kenya Forest Service, Suam, and adjacent customers.
Bungoma county
The Matisi water treatment plant area will experience power outages from 9 am to 2 pm. In those areas, St. Teresa, Wananchi, Kwa Dinah, Molo, Lovington Est, St. Mary’s, St. Angela, Matisi Water Treatment Plant, Matulo, Milo, Kuuywa, Khalumili, Ngwelo and adjacent customers will be affected.
Busia County
In Busia county, Nesewa Health Centre will be affected between 9 am to 5 pm. Others are Igero, Okoa Market, Lung’a Primary & Secondary School, Makobio, Sigwata, Nasewa Health Center, Nasewa Secondary School, Buyama Primary School, Lung’a Fisheries and adjacent customers.
Homa Bay county
Ndhiwa, Kalamindi, and Wachara areas will be affected between 8:30 am to 4:30 pm. Other specific areas in the localities set to be affected are Ongeng, Rodi, Rarage, Ndhiwa, Mirogi, Obera, Sukari, Amoyo, Ratanga, Got Kojowi, Okok, Magina, Okota, Angiya, Lwanda Kawuor, Lwala, Pala Koguta, Ototo, Miranga, Kalamindi, Kobama, Wachara and adjacent customers.
Migori County
Rongo, Kanyawanga, and Kokuo areas will experience power interruptions between 9 am to 3 pm. In these areas, Rongo Town, Rongo University, Kanga, Kanyawanga areas, Nyarach, Winyo, Nyamuga, Kasere, Kokuro, Nyatambe, Siruti, Ondom, Nyangau, Kitere and adjacent customers will be affected.
Nyamira County
Ikonge, Ekerenyo, and Nyaramba areas will be affected between 9 am to 4 pm. Ikonge, Ekerenyo, Obwari, Gekendo, Karota, Maagonga Sec, Ekerenyo Hosp, Nyaramba, Endiba, and adjacent customers will also be hit.
Kisii County
Nyangena Hospital and Nyabururu have been scheduled for power interruptions between 8 am to 1 pm. Nyabururu Complex, Nyangena, and adjacent customers have been scheduled for power interruptions.
Nyeri County
Kanjama, Ndira, and Umbui areas have been lined up for power interruption between 8 am to 5 pm. Specific places are Kiru Boys Secondary School, Kiru C/F, Kagongo TBC, Ndiara Primary School, Ndiara C/F, Mirichu Nursery, Kanjama Market, Kiriguini TBC, Umbui Market, Kaharo TBC, Kiriko Mkt, Kamagoko Mkt and adjacent customers.
Kirinyaga County
Shell Petrol Station, Kukena Petrol Stn, JMB Hotel, Cliff Neck Restaurant, Kerugoya Boys, Facing Mt. Kenya Primary School and Junior Secondary School, Kapendoso, Starwood Hotel, Njegas Boys, Kaharo, Mukinduri, Kirmunge, Uceru, Mutitu, Kamuiru Boys, Kiamuthambi and adjacent customers in Mutitu, Mukinduri and Kaharo will be affected between 9 am to 4 pm.
Kiambu county
Raini, Boma Road, Kibubuti Farm, and adjacent customers will affected in the Kibubuti area between 9 am to 5 pm.
At the same time, Kangoki, Munyu Girls, Maria Magdalene, Komo, Farainya, Magajo Primary, Magana Primary School, Kwa Ngiriki, Tushauriane, Mbagathi, Gathaji, Muthara, St. Georges, Nyacaba Secondary School, Nyacaba Police, Kimuchu, Kwa Magu, Muthara Lavitong, Safaricom Booster Muthara, Rurie, Budthia Quarry, Kalimoni Hosp, Magic Stone Quarry and adjacent customers in Komo, Githima and Magana will be affected.
Kwale County
Vingujini, Sawasawa Beach, Msambweni Referral Hosp, Msambweni Beach Hse, KMTC Msambweni, and adjacent customers in Msambweni will be affected between 9 am to 5 pm.
