Kindiki is respectful and hardworking, pleased to have him as DP – President Ruto

President William Ruto has expressed his appreciation for his Deputy President, Prof. Kithure Kindiki, praising his dedication to national development and the unification of Kenya. During a visit to Gatunga in Tharaka Nithi County on Friday, the President commended Prof. Kindiki for his focus, respect, and commitment to the government’s goals.

“I am grateful that Prof. Kindiki chose to join me in serving the nation,” said President Ruto. “He is respectful, hardworking, and orderly.”

The President emphasized that Prof. Kindiki is not only the Deputy President of Tharaka Nithi or Mt. Kenya, but of the entire country. He is working with the President to serve all Kenyans, without favoring any particular region.

President Ruto spoke during the inspection of the Gatunga Modern Market, a government-funded project near completion. The market aims to provide a better environment for small-scale traders and vendors. Earlier, the President also opened the new Tuition Complex at Tharaka Nithi University.

The President praised his deputy for focusing on unity and rejecting divisive rhetoric. He stated, “Our mission is to serve all Kenyans and unite all communities. We are working to eliminate tribalism and division for the benefit of the nation.”

He added that having a leader like Prof. Kindiki has made his job easier, helping to speed up the delivery of the government’s agenda.

Prof. Kindiki expressed his gratitude to the President for selecting him as his principal assistant and pledged to work even harder to ensure the government’s plans are swiftly implemented. “I am honored by the President’s decision,” he said. “I will ensure that the work assigned to me is done and the nationโ€™s development goals are achieved on time.”

The Deputy President committed to overseeing the implementation of presidential directives and development projects, both across Kenya and specifically in Tharaka Nithi and the Mt. Kenya region.

Prof. Kindiki also thanked the President for being a true friend to the people of Tharaka Nithi and the broader Mt. Kenya area. “The friendship between the President and the people of this region goes back many years. It started when he was a Minister and continued through his time as Deputy President and now as President. This strong relationship will endure,” he concluded.

This show of unity and focus on development highlights the government’s ongoing efforts to foster national progress and inclusivity.
