Kericho Woman’s Ears Cut Off by Husband in Shocking Attack: “She is Not Following Instructions”
A woman from Sigowet-Soin Constituency is currently recuperating from wounds inflicted by her husband, who cut off her ears, accusing her of disobedience.
Peter Nthiga, the sub-county police commander, verified the incident that occurred on Wednesday, May 8, sending shock throughout the community.

The Kericho woman’s ears were severed because her husband accused her of not following his instructions, although the exact details of their conversation and the events leading to the attack are unclear.
Nthiga mentioned that law enforcement has started a search for the husband, who fled the scene after the incident, as reported by TV47. He also urged residents to resolve their conflicts peacefully instead of resorting to drastic actions.
Nairobi woman throws boiling oil on neighbor’s face
In a separate incident, a woman was arrested for causing serious harm to her neighbor’s face for allegedly copying her hairstyle.
The victim returned home to Dandora, Nairobi County, late at night, and when the suspect noticed their similar hairstyles, she went to a nearby fish vendor, took a spoon with boiling fish oil, and threw it at the victim.
The conflict escalated into a fight, resulting in the victim’s teeth being dislodged. The suspect was released on a KSh 20,000 cash bail or an alternative bond of KSh 50,000, along with paying the victim’s hospital bills.
