Kajiado Azimio MPs assure President Ruto of a strong relationship
Parliamentarians from Kajiado Azimio have assured President William Ruto that there is no animosity between them and him.
Sunday at Ildamat Stadium, during an interdenominational service, Kajiado East MP Kakuta Maimai echoed his Kajiado Central counterpart’s commitment to working with the national government.
“Kama vile ndugu yangu Memusi amesema sisi tuko pande ile ya Azimio lakini hatuna chuki na hatuna ubaya na wewe. Tunakuheshimu kama President wetu,” he said.
This roughly translates to “As my brother Memusi (MP for Kajiado Central Elijah Kanchory Memusi) stated, we are on the opposing side at Azimio, but we do not hate you. We hold you in high regard as President.
Kajiado County has five constituencies, of which three have Azimio legislators.
They include Maimai, Memusi, and Kajiado South MP Parashina Samuel Sakimba.
The three individuals were present.

Maimai apologized for not offering a “cup of milk” to the President, explaining that the drought had harmed their livestock.
“In this regard, Mr. President, I will respectfully request that you provide food for our people. “Hunger exists in this landscape,” he stated.
Additionally, the lawmaker urged Ruto to include the Kajiado people in drought mitigation programs.
He also asked him to assist residents of Kitengela in gaining access to water from the Ololoitikoshi dam.
Memusi stated that the three’s presence at the event demonstrated their commitment to working with the government.
“Tumesema kama viongozi ya kwamba sisi tukona unity of purpose. Leo Kajiado mzima iko hapa. Wabunge wa Azimio sisi tuko watatu na tuko hapa wote watatu,” he said.
(As leaders, we have stated that we share a common goal. Today, the entirety of Kajiado is present. We have three Azimio County representatives and we are all present).
Sakimba praised Ruto for receiving acclaim in Paris, France.
“Uliongea kabisa nataka kusema asante, hongera. Ulituwakilisha kama Afrika na kama jamhuri yetu ya Kenya. We are proud of you, Mr. President (You spoke eloquently, and I wish to thank you and offer my congratulations. You adequately represent Africa and Kenya),” he said.
Ruto received applause and admiration while delivering a speech on the Champs de Mars in Paris on Friday.
As the Head of State spoke to thousands of young people about Climate Change and Financing, the young scholars applauded and cheered after every sentence.
