Jealous Rage: Woman Turns Herself In After Stabbing Boyfriend to Death
A woman from Siaya County turned herself into authorities on Saturday after allegedly stabbing her partner to death in a dispute over infidelity.
Identified as Vivian Akoth, she surrendered at Siaya Police Station, where she is being detained as investigations into the incident, which has drawn widespread attention, continue.
Grace Otieno, the area assistant chief, confirmed the event to reporters, stating that the deceased had arrived home around 9 p.m. with a friend shortly before his girlfriend arrived.
The assistant chief revealed that the victim’s friend overheard a commotion, raising his suspicions about the unfolding events.
Reports indicate that without warning, the 28-year-old woman, a mother of one, attacked her 35-year-old boyfriend, Charlton Obare, allegedly accusing him of cheating.
She stabbed him in the chest with what is believed to be a sharp object, leaving him gravely injured and collapsing to the ground in critical condition.

Upon realizing the severity of his injuries, Vivian reportedly called the friend who had accompanied the deceased to confirm his condition.
The victim’s fiancรฉe arranged for a motorbike to rush him to the hospital, but he was tragically pronounced dead on arrival.
Amid the chaos, the suspect fled the scene but later presented herself at the nearest police station, admitting to the fatal act.
Law enforcement officers, in coordination with the assistant chief, visited the scene to commence a thorough investigation into the murder.
The deceased’s body has been moved to the Siaya County Referral Hospital morgue, awaiting an autopsy by a government pathologist.
This incident occurred less than a week after a similar case in Kitale, where a woman fatally stabbed a 24-year-old KMTC student just days before his graduation, allegedly due to a relationship dispute.
