Govt Employee Sacked After Leaked Whatsapp Text
The Isiolo County Government dismissed one of its communication officers following the circulation of a WhatsApp message in which he criticized the administration.
The employee received a termination notice on Monday, March 25, informing them that they were no longer part of the Governor’s Delivery Unit effective immediately.
The communications personnel was informed that they violated their contract by engaging in social media conversations that portrayed the County Government negatively.
“As a public officer, you must maintain professionalism and refrain from engaging in activities that undermine the reputation and integrity of our organization and its officials,” he was told while being handed his marching orders.
Furthermore, he was promptly requested to surrender any county equipment he possessed without delay.
In an interview with Gossipa2z.com, an insider familiar with the situation verified that the county worker had been dismissed from their position.

“The young man threatened that he can even be paid by a neighboring governor and other politicians within the county so it was only logical he be relieved of his duties,” the source revealed.
In unconfirmed WhatsApp conversations, the recently dismissed county staff member was observed requesting payment from their employer.
He contended that he had invested considerable effort in supporting the present government’s campaign, and therefore, he requested financial compensation as a gesture of gratitude.
Additionally, another passage boasted about his role as a primary advocate for the administration and expressed his willingness to provide his expertise to a different political party.
“We appreciate your past contributions and wish you well in your future endeavors,” he was told.
A former County Assembly Member (MCA) has emerged as a frontrunner to take over the role of the dismissed communication specialist.
