Govt Announces Limited Foreign Scholarship Slots; How to Apply
The Ministry of Health has announced that candidates can now apply for scholarships provided by the Government of Bangladesh. This program aims to support students interested in medical and dental studies in the Asian nation.
According to a notice released on Monday, the Ministry of Health shared that successful applicants would join medical and dental institutions under the Bangladesh Government for the academic year 2024-2025.
The scholarship program is being offered through the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare in partnership with Bangladesh’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs.
The notice highlighted that 221 slots are available for foreign students. Out of these, 117 slots have been reserved for students from South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) member countries.
An additional five slots are specifically allocated under the Bangladesh Government Scholarship Program. This means only 99 slots remain open for Kenyan applicants.

For those not selected for government institutions, the Ministry’s announcement also mentioned that opportunities exist in private medical and dental colleges for interested candidates.
Application Process
Applicants are encouraged to apply through the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora Affairs by submitting all required academic documents and other relevant paperwork. Those wishing to apply to private medical or dental colleges must submit their applications online.

The deadline to apply for the scholarships is March 15, 2024. Students interested in pursuing medical or dental education in Bangladesh are advised to act quickly to secure their place.
