Gov’t Announces Jobs For Female Nurses In Saudi Arabia – Requirements And How To Apply

Female Kenyan healthcare workers seeking to work abroad can now apply for overseas jobs in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA).

The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection, in a statement on Tuesday, announced the opportunities saying the Saudi government would recruit female health workers to be employed as general nurses and healthcare assistant professionals on a two-year renewable contract.

This, the ministry said, is a result of a partnership between the two countries to enhance productive labor migration.

“This initiative has facilitated the employment of thousands of Kenyans in different economic sectors in the KSA and has expressed willingness through various organizations in KSA to recruit additional health care workers from Kenya,” read the statement by Principal Secretary Shadrack Mwadime.

“The Ministry of Labour and Social Protection requests for applications from qualified Kenyans for employment in the KSA as General Nurses and Personal Assistant/Health Care Assistant professionals.”

PS Mwadime further revealed that those successful in the employment would be earning a minimum monthly salary of between Ksh.92,000 and Ksh.147,000 depending on their academic levels for 8-hour shifts.

Degree holders will earn a minimum monthly salary of 3,500.00 SAR (about Ksh.147,000 ) while Diploma holders will take home a minimum of 3,000.00 SAR (about Ksh.126,000).
