Sudi emphasized the need for mutual respect among all contributors to the Kenya Kwanza Government and called for respect from both the President and his deputy.
Sudi’s response came after Gachagua’s comments questioning the involvement of Ruto’s allies in succession politics, particularly in planning for the 2027 elections while the current president is still in office.
Barchok’s statements have shed light on a growing division within President William Ruto’s party, suggesting a strained relationship between Gachagua and Ruto.
Despite speculation about a political rift between him and the President, the Deputy President has repeatedly denied any such discord.
