Gachagua Extends Olive Branch: Ready for Handshake with Uhuru Kenyatta

Vice President Rigathi Gachagua has stated that he is willing to reconcile with former President Uhuru Kenyatta.
Saturday in an interview with the media in Meru, Gachagua stated that he has no grudge against Uhuru, whom he has supported since his first run for the presidency in 2002.
“I have no dispute or disagreement with my friend, former President Uhuru Kenyatta. Because he has retired and gone to rest, we no longer have any competition. “As Vice President, I am performing my duties,” said Gachagua.
“I have supported Uhuru since 2002 when no one else wanted him to become president. Later on, when we won over his project, we had political differences. However, he arrived and granted us authority, and all was well.”

Even though he has not spoken with him in such a long time, he is willing to engage in conversation with him if he contacts him.
“I have not had a conversation with Uhuru, but he knows where I am. He possesses my telephone number. I will respond to his call because he is my superior. I do not have any issues. We will talk,” Gachagua said.
“We have great respect for him. Although I am younger than him, I can also offer him some advice. I will inform him that fighting with Sabina diminishes his esteem.”
As the government of Kenya Kwanza, the DP stated that the dispute between Uhuru and Sabina over the Jubilee Party does not concern them.
Gachagua also absolved the President and the Kenya Kwanza government of responsibility for the issues confronting the Jubilee party.
“The only issue there is his former regime’s issues, but we must express ourselves.” “By telling you that he borrowed money to construct the roads, he is not arguing,” Gachagua explained.
