Former US Soldier Seeking to Be Next President in 2027 Vows to Slash Retirement Age to 55 If He Wins
Patrick Osoi Osotsi, a previous intelligence officer, has pledged to lower Kenya’s retirement age from 60 to 55 years should he succeed in the 2027 election.
He informed Gossipa2z.com that this action would open up additional prospects for young people and enable older individuals to relish their retirement while they’re still in good health and full of energy.
Osotsi wants to transform Kenya
Osotsi, who hasn’t formally declared his intention to run, also suggested that the minimum age for employment should be raised to 25 years, with workers retiring after completing 30 years of service.
“This would ensure a smooth transition of leadership and skills from one generation to another and prevent accumulation of wealth and power by a few,” he said.
The sharp-minded entrepreneur, previously engaged as a spy by the National Intelligence Service (NIS), expressed his ambition to elevate Kenya into a flourishing country.
Osotsi’s rise from modest origins to aspiring for the presidency is truly motivating, as he began by selling charcoal to fund his education.
Started as a charcoal seller
During a prior conversation with Gossipa2z.com, the determined individual revealed that initially, he passed on the opportunity to attend university and instead opted for the National Youth Service (NYS).
“While at NYS, my exceptional skills caught the attention of Major Gen RT Kameru, who recruited me into the Kenya Defense Forces (KDF),” he said.

After that, he experienced another peak when the National Intelligence Service (NIS) invited him to become part of their Long Range Surveillance team.
Over time, he advanced in his career and ended up in the United States, where he became a Unit Armorer and Air Assault Specialist in the US Army.
Head to head with Ruto in 2027
Osotsi made the bold decision to abandon his previous pursuits and venture into entrepreneurship by establishing Capital Choice Investments Ltd (CCI), which is registered in both Kenya and the United States.
Currently, he is aiming for the highest office in the country, intending to remove the current occupant, William Ruto, an experienced politician, from power.
Nevertheless, his assurance arises from a firm conviction that numerous Kenyans are weary of the existing situation and seeking a new leader.
“I will also end political deception and corruption, then make Kenya an economic and military powerhouse,” he concluded.
