    Former Follower Claims Shakahola Leader Convinced 300+ Families to Starve to Death

    Shakahola, Kilifi county-A former member of the God News International Church has spoken out about the methods that the controversial pastor Paul Mackenzie used to persuade his congregation to fast to death. 

    In an interview with Citizen TV, a former follower of Mackenzie. Described how the controversial preacher deceived his congregation by tricking them into selling land in the Shakahola forest.ย 

    Following the sale of the land, which Mackenzie does not actually own. He then indoctrinated his followers to starve themselves to death.

    ย According to a former ally of Mackenzie’s, a total of 1,500 people. Including more than 300 families, moved into the Shakahola forest after being promised cheap and blessed land.ย 

    The man, whose identity has been concealed for reasons of safety. Disclosed that the purchase of the land was the initial cause of the problems.

     “On a personal level, the pastor was the one who sold me the land”. According to what he said, a lot of people bought land there after selling their properties in other areas.

    He disclosed that the controversial preacher’s indoctrination process was deliberate, methodical, and ultimately lethal. 

    The witness went on to reveal that Mackenzie was a preacher who did not practice what he preached. He would only abstain from food two days per week. Despite assuring his followers that he would be the last person to pass away.

    ย “Since I’ve known him, he has chosen to abstain from food for two days each week. He had assured everyone that he would be the last person to pass away, so he had not yet begun to starve,” the former follower added.ย
