Fire Engulfs Top Floor of Rongai Building(Video)
A fire broke out on the top floor of a four-story building located on the Rongai-Kiserian Road, at the Gataka Road junction in Nairobi, destroying property of unknown value.
The fire, which occurred on Sunday, December 8, around 4 pm, is still under investigation, with the cause not yet determined.
Videos from the scene showed thick black smoke rising from the top floor as flames consumed the structure.
The blaze affected part of the top floor, with some smoke escaping from the balcony, while the fire damaged its wooden parts.

Concerned onlookers gathered at the scene, powerless to stop the raging fire.
At the time of reporting, the number of casualties, if any, was unknown, as authorities had yet to issue any statement.

Additionally, the Nairobi County fire emergency unit had not yet arrived to extinguish the fire.
This incident follows a recent fire on November 30, when Ngara Market was destroyed by flames late on a Friday night.
In recent months, Nairobi has been grappling with a series of fire outbreaks, with this latest fire fueling growing concerns.
The fire on Rongai-Kiserian Road occurred just a month after a deadly blaze in the Majengo area of Kamukunji, which killed at least six people and injured 16 others.
That fire, which began around 8:30 pm, destroyed 50 houses and left families stranded outdoors for the night.
On September 2, Nairobi County Governor Johnson Sakaja visited a fire-ravaged trading area on Desai Road in Ngara, where many traders lost their businesses. The governor vowed to enhance the city’s fire emergency response services.
