Exposed: Cartel’s Grip on Ruto – Seth Panyako Reveals After Shocking Fallout

Former United Democratic Alliance (UDA) vice chairman Seth Panyako revealed on May 31 that a phone call by President William Ruto allegedly led to the resignation of the LAPFUND chairman.

In an interview with Spice FM, the Secretary-General of the Kenya National Union of Nurses (KNUN) claimed that the 11-member board and its chairman were coerced into selecting an acting Chief Executive Officer (CEO) selected by Ruto.

Six men, he claimed, surround the president and micromanage government appointments as part of a cartel.

“We appointed an interim CEO on Thursday (May 25), but the cartels surrounding the president compelled the board to reverse that decision the following day, on the day of the annual general meeting.

“In actuality, the chairman received threats, and he eventually received a phone call from the president himself. He was very demanding. I was present for the successful phone call. I saw messages from both these cartels and the president,” Panyako stated.

The CEO of Lapfund resigned on May 25 after being recommended as the managing trustee of the National Social Security Fund (NSSF) following interviews.

This meant that Lapfund had to choose an interim CEO before their Annual General Meeting on May 26.

Panyako stated that the board appointed Galm Jaldesa as interim CEO. As it turned out, this irritated some individuals.

“We reversed that decision, but I expressed dissent. An immediate threat to the chairman followed.

Therefore, he said, “I can’t hold on any longer. The chairman, Amin Deddy, resigned,” explained Panyako.

Panyako expressed concern that Lapfund’s board cannot meet due to the absence of a chief executive officer and chairman.

In addition, he criticized UDA, stating that he resigned from the position of vice chairman on May 27 because the party’s actions were inconsistent with its campaign promises.

“We used to tell (former Prime Minister) Raila Amolo Odinga and (former President) Uhuru Kenyatta that they were engaging in deceptive politics.

“This government represents the pinnacle of deception. You cannot promise to reduce taxes, then double them,” Panyako exclaimed indignantly.
