    Easily Register NTSA TIMS Account on Gava Mkononi App

    On Friday, June 30, President William Ruto released the Gava Mkononi App, a mobile version of the eCitizen platform, to facilitate access to 5,000 digitized services. 

    Using the app on their smartphones, motorists can easily create and manage their National Transport and Safety Administration (NTSA) TIMS account.

    Gava Mkononi is now easily downloadable on Android and iOS devices, facilitating access to numerous services. 

    Users must register their mobile phone numbers to utilize this application’s features. 

    How to create a new NTSA TIMS account on the e-Citizen mobile application:

    1. Download the e-Citizen mobile app from the Google Play Store or the App Store.

    2. Open the app and create an account. You will need to provide your name, ID number, and mobile phone number.

    3. Once you have created an account, you will be able to log in.

    4. Click on the “Services” tab and select “NTSA TIMS”.

    5. Click on the “Register” button.

    6. Enter your ID number and password.

    7. Click on the “Get Code” button.

    8. A one-time security code will be sent to your mobile phone.

    9. Enter the security code and click the “Submit” button.

    NTSA TIMS account requirements for the e-Citizen mobile app:

    A valid ID number is required to register for an NTSA TIMS account.ย

    The NTSA also requires drivers to have a mobile phone number for receiving the one-time security code.

    Users should also consider having a strong password that is at least 8 characters long and contains a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters, numbers, and symbols.

    Features of the NTSA TIMS Account:

    1. Vehicle registration: You can register a new vehicle or renew the registration of an existing vehicle.

    2. Vehicle inspection: You can book an inspection for your vehicle and pay the fees online.

    3. Vehicle ownership transfer: This allows motorists to transfer the ownership of a vehicle to another person.

    4. Vehicle records management: Motorists can view the records of their vehicles, such as the registration, inspection, and ownership certificate.

    5. Payment of government fees: You can pay government fees, such as vehicle registration, inspection fee, and ownership transfer fees.

    The TIMS account grants drivers access to the aforementioned services.

    In addition to these capabilities, the NTSA TIMS account enables drivers to check the status of their applications for these services.

    They can also use TIMS to sign up for SMS alerts to receive notifications about their vehicle, such as when the registration expires or when an inspection is due.
