Driver’s Wife Unveils Shocking Police Error in Njoroge Saga
The wife of Emanze Jilani, a driver who was arrested alongside digital strategist Pauline Njoroge, has criticized the police department for making an error during her husband’s arrest.
Monday, July 24, outside the Watamu Police Station, Fatuma Abdallah maintained that her spouse was innocent and merely a hired driver.
Pauline and her colleague Jane Nduta were detained alongside Jilani when his silver Toyota Hiace was stopped by police in Watamu, Kilifi County.
“My spouse is not guilty. “All he did was transport tourists touring the region,” she complained as she demanded his release.
She pleaded with police officers to release her husband, explaining that he had been arrested in the line of duty and was oblivious to Pauline and her coworker’s activities.

Fatuma pleaded with tears, “He has children at home who must attend school and be provided with necessities.”
Pauline was brought before the Malindi Law Courts on Monday at 2:00 p.m., despite the presence of her attorneys Lempaa Soyinka and Ndegwa Njiru since 9:00 a.m.
“We arrived at the Malindi Law Courts in the morning to await the appearance of our client, but she was not presented.
Njiru lamented at the time, “Some individuals who were held in the same cell as her have already been brought to court and charged.”
The three were accused of possessing sixty tablets that were believed to be controlled substances.
Soyinka had previously stated to GossipA2Z that the allegations were false and that she was being persecuted for political reasons.
He added that the government had been pursuing Pauline for quite some time. Lempaa also refuted claims that Pauline had been targeted for making government-critical posts.
