DP Gachagua Outlines Qualities Ruto Should Look Out for While Choosing New CSs
Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua on Wednesday encouraged Kenyans to back President William Ruto in selecting the right individuals for cabinet secretary positions.
During Bishop Allan Kiuna’s burial in Kiambu, Gachagua praised the President for his decisive move to dissolve the cabinet.
Gachagua urged President Ruto to appoint competent and dedicated cabinet secretaries, emphasizing that a leader is only as effective as their team.
โThat is why we support President Ruto for his very pragmatic and courageous decision to dissolve his cabinet and come up with a new team that is focused and competent,โ Gachagua stated.
The DP noted that the president now has the perfect opportunity to form a team of patriotic, non-corrupt, and dedicated Kenyans.
Addressing the attendees, the deputy president called for prayers from the church members for the president to choose the right team of CSs.
โGod has given him a chance to come up with a good team of patriotic Kenyans who are not corrupt, who are not arrogant and who are serious about service delivery,โ the DP reiterated.

Rigathi Gachagua’s remarks come shortly after President Ruto dismissed almost all his cabinet secretaries.
At a State House press conference in Nairobi, President Ruto mentioned that only the offices of the Deputy President and Prime Cabinet Secretary remained unaffected.
The President explained that this action was in response to the demands of Kenyans voiced during recent nationwide demonstrations.
“Upon reflection and listening keenly to what the people of Kenya have said and after holistic appraisal of the performance of my Cabinet and its achievements and challenges,” Ruto disclosed.
“I have today in line with the powers given to me decided to dismiss with immediate effect all the CSs and AG except the PCS and CS for Foreign Affairs and the office of the DP is not affected in any way.”
