Detectives Investigate Cold-Blooded Murder of Ohangla Dancer Sheila Bamboo, Husband Wanted for Questioning
Police are investigating the murder of renowned Ohangla dancer Sheila Odoyo, also known as Sheila Wegesha, after her body was found in her Athi River home in Machakos County.
The 38-year-old is believed to have been killed on Thursday morning, with her body discovered hours later in her bed in the Hill View estate.
Her 18-year-old daughter found her lifeless body in bed and immediately raised an alarm.
The body, found around 1 pm on Thursday, May 9, was surrounded by a pool of dried blood, suggesting she had been dead for more than four hours.
Police noted a deep cut on her throat.
Officers are searching for Sheila’s husband, Jack Bamboo, the director of Light Uriri Academy in Migori, who was reportedly seen at the house a few hours earlier.
He left the house in his car just after midnight on Wednesday without notifying other family members.

Detectives want to speak with him about the incident.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear.
The daughter had made lunch for her mother and went to wake her when she found her dead.
Police processed the scene and moved the body to the mortuary for an autopsy.
The couple operates a popular bar in the Umoja area of Nairobi.
Sheila was a well-known Ohangla dancer, and many expressed their condolences on social media upon hearing of her death.
Those grieving her loss suggested potential motives and called for justice for the family.
Police have vowed to pursue justice in the case.
