Deputy President Rigathi Gachagua offered heartfelt gratitude to Uasin Gishu Woman Representative Gladys Boss Shollei for her unwavering support during a challenging political ordeal, as he spoke at an interdenominational service in Kesses, Uasin Gishu County.

Gachagua recounted how Shollei visited him in custody following his arrest, providing sustenance and aiding in his release, remaining by his side until freedom was restored.

He emphasized Shollei’s steadfast presence throughout the ordeal, urging constituents of Kesses to stand behind her, highlighting her compassion and dedication to the community’s welfare.

Gachagua spoke warmly of Shollei’s supportive role, likening it to a sister’s care for her brother and urging locals to reciprocate by supporting her.

While specifics of the incident leading to his arrest were not disclosed, Gachagua credited Shollei not only for facilitating his release but also for advocating for adequate representation of Matharu residents within the government.

The endorsement of Gachagua by Rift Valley Kenya Kwanza leaders, amidst rumors of discord between President Ruto and Gachagua, was underscored during a political gathering.

Tinderet MP Julius Melly commended Gachagua for his loyalty to President Ruto and his efforts to secure Mt. Kenya votes for the United Democratic Alliance (UDA) in the 2022 presidential elections, despite facing arrest.

Melly assured Gachagua of unwavering support, emphasizing their solidarity with both him and the President.

Uasin Gishu Senator Jackson Mandago echoed support for the Deputy President, urging Mount Kenya leaders to prioritize development and unity within the Kenya Kwanza Coalition, rather than engaging in divisive politics.

Mandago encouraged leaders to seek the support of those who had not initially backed the Kenya Kwanza government, emphasizing the need to focus on shared goals rather than pursuing redundant efforts.
