Dandora Estate Father Surrenders to Police After Fatally Stabbing Wife

On Wednesday, June 21, a father from Dandora Estate turned himself into the police for stabbing his wife to death.

According to a statement released by the police, the man led them back to his Dandora residence, where they discovered the body of his wife, who had visible stab wounds on her neck and hands, lying in a pool of blood.

The officers discovered a letter written by the man to his eldest son, instructing him to use the money left on his phone to take care of his younger brother and pay his fees.

Neighbors told the media that the man demanded Ksh1,000 from the woman to pay for the Chama he belonged to.

According to a neighbor, the woman refused to give him the money because she was saving it for her son’s midterm break return.

“They were arguing about Ksh1,000.” Perhaps he was not doing well because he was not working.

“The woman refused to give him the money and kept insisting that they would need money to send their son back to school after the midterm break, but he insisted,” a neighbor recalled.

Another witness stated that she heard a thud and, upon investigation, saw the suspect fall from his house’s balcony.

Later, the suspect went to retrieve police officers who joined him in investigating the incident.

“Around two in the morning, my husband and I were awakened by the noise. I exited the house to find other neighbors gathered in front of their residences.

“When I went outside after hearing the sound of a fall, I saw the man. After he stood up and fled, police vehicles arrived,” she recalled.

Witnesses reported that the couple had been feuding for years, but no one anticipated that their disputes would reach a fatal level.
