CS Kindiki Transfers 12 County Commissioners, Recalls 5
Interior Cabinet Secretary Kithure Kindiki on Thursday transferred 12 County Commissioners and recalled five others to the ministry’s headquarters in Nairobi.
According to the CS, the transfers are aimed at enhancing service delivery within the National Government Administration cadres.
In the changes, Kindiki dropped Wilson Njenga as Internal Security Principal Administrative Secretary and replaced him with Njenga Miiri.
Mohamed Barre was recalled from Nyandarua, Joseph Kanyiri from Laikipia, Isaac Masinde from Narok, Tom Anjere from Kisii, and Jude Wesonga from Kajiado.
“To enhance service delivery within National Government Administration cadres, deployment has been re-organized to take effect on February 1, 2024,” read the statement in part.
Meanwhile, Abdirisack Jaldesa was transferred from Mombasa to Nyandarua while Commissioner Mohamed Nur was transferred from Tana River to Mombasa.
Erastus Mbui was redeployed to Laikipia from Kitui while Joshua Nkanatha was transferred from Kiambu to Murang’a.

By the same token, Onesimus Kyatha was transferred to Samburu from Nyamira while Susan Waweru was reassigned from Nairobi to Siaya.
Kindiki also transferred West Pokot County Commissioner Apollo Okello to Rift Valley while Hiram Kahiro was transferred from Ministry Headquarters to Kwale.
Others impacted by the reshuffling include; Jacob Ouma who was transferred from Turkana to Meru. Henry Wafula was reassigned to Makueni from Samburu while Kipchumba Rutto was transferred to Kitui from Busia.
Patrick Mukuria has also been transferred from Murang’a to Kisii while Commissioner Apollo Okello was transferred from West Pokot and assigned as the Personal Assistant to the Rift Valley Regional Commissioner.
The remaining 24 county commissioners have not been affected by the reorganization.
