Chilling Message Sent by Starlet Wahu’s Killer to Airbnb Owner

An exposed screenshot displaying a WhatsApp conversation has disclosed troubling messages sent by John Matara, the suspected killer of socialite Starlet Wahu, to the owner of an Airbnb where the tragic incident occurred.

The actress Matara, aged 34, arrived at a South B Airbnb with Starlet Wahu. Surveillance cameras captured their entry into a Papino Apartment residence in the early hours of January 4th.

However, what began as a seemingly ordinary date ended in tragedy.

Matara was once more recorded on surveillance camera exiting the apartment by herself, leading authorities to initiate an inquiry into what occurred within the premises.

He was subsequently located at Mbagathi Hospital, undergoing medical care.

Per the police report, Matara stands accused of fatally injuring Starlet Wahu by stabbing her in the head and thigh at the apartment, leading to her death due to severe bleeding.

Her inert form was found lying on the ground amid a pool of blood.

The WhatsApp conversation between Matara and the Airbnb host, which was exposed by NTV, exposes Matara’s urgent request for help.

In the texts, he admits to getting into a passionate disagreement with his girlfriend, trapping her indoors, and then departing suddenly. Matara advises the owner to retrieve the keys to the house from a security guard.

“Sh*t happened. I left the house in panic and I locked my girlfriend inside. She is not in good condition. It is quite disturbing. The key is with the watchman. I could not see the caretaker,” Matara stated in the messages.

“I am far away now. It was a heated argument, and I did some sh*t. She is in the bedroom. The earlier you get there, the better. The later you get there, the worse. You won’t hear from me for some hours. I need recuperation. I am so sorry about it. Please say no words for now. You have no idea how much we have fought all night. But no property is damaged. Thanks for everything.”

As the Airbnb host asked Matara for clarification, Matara did not reply, which left the recipient feeling shocked and confused.

As per Pastor Victor Kanyari, Starlet’s brother, she tragically passed away while trying to protect herself near the doorway due to the injuries she sustained.

Investigators are encouraging women who might have encountered assault and blackmail from the individual linked to the killing of socialite Starlet Wahu Mwangi to step forward and provide details to aid in a comprehensive inquiry.

A specialized team has been formed at the Regional Criminal Investigations Office in Nairobi to handle reports concerning the activities of the suspect.

“The DCI appeals to any victims and survivors of the suspect’s aggression to formally report their experiences at the Regional Criminal Investigations Office in Nairobi or the nearest police station,” stated an appeal released on Sunday night.

This request for information arises due to suspicions that the individual in question could potentially be a serial offender engaged in illegal actions such as blackmail and extortion.
