Boxing Champion Conjestina Unveils Stunning Transformation as Head of Security (PHOTOS)
Former boxing superstar Conjestina Achieng reported working for the first time since completing her rehabilitation on Friday, June 16.
Conjestina, a former world title challenger and two-time African champion, accompanied former Nairobi governor Mike Sonko to his office in Nairobi.
Sonko appointed her as the head of security at the Kanamai, Kilifi County, Salama Bling Beach Resort.
Conjestina accompanied Mike Sonko on his endeavors on her first day of employment and was given a tour of his office and facilities before being introduced to the staff.
The Kenyan veteran athlete was seen opening the door for Sonko, indicating that she was acting as his primary bodyguard.
She also carried his briefcase, which is a typical duty for chief bodyguards, particularly those who handle business for prominent business or political figures.
After retiring from professional boxing, Conjestina thanked the former governor of Nairobi for assisting him in overcoming his mental distress.
“I am thrilled to begin this new chapter in my life, and I am appreciative to Governor Sonko for providing me with this opportunity. Conjestina announced on Thursday, June 15 after meeting Sonko, “I will work hard to make him proud.”
Sonko expressed confidence that Conjestina would be an asset to his team now that she had fully recovered.
“God only appears to those who pursue their dreams; you should never give up despite the devastation and discouragement of the pursuit.

“Conjestina is a boxing icon in Kenya. She is a fighter and a role model for young people. Sonko stated, “I am confident that she will be an asset to our team.”
Sonko intended to hire Conjestina at his nightclub in Mombasa before transferring her to the Salama Bling Beach Resort in Kanamai to serve as a fitness instructor and head of security.
“My initial plan for Conje following her recovery was to hire her as the Head of Security Operations at the international Club Volume, but I changed my mind after considering her history of substance abuse. I do not want her to be around drug-related environments.
“Conje will be the fitness instructor and head of security at Kanamai’s Salama Bling Beach Resort. We inspected the hotel where she will work with her sister, coach, and son, and they all agreed.
As the head of security at the beach resort, Conjestina is responsible for the protection of its people, property, and data.
The former boxer formulates and implements security policies and procedures, trains and oversees security personnel, and responds to security incidents. She plays a crucial role in defending the organization against a variety of threats, including physical security threats and illegal intrusions.
Sonko added that he would closely monitor her progress and advocate against her traveling upcountry, where she may experience a relapse.
“She will now earn a living to support her family, but they have agreed not to return to Siaya.” The former governor stated that she will only be going to say hello under supervision before returning to work.
