Boniface Mwangi’s Wife Breaks Silence After Cryptic Message
Activist Boniface Mwangi’s spouse, Njeri Mwangi, addressed the public after her husband shared an enigmatic post on Facebook on Saturday, August 3, which sparked varied responses.
In a statement issued on Monday, August 5, Njeri conveyed her thanks for the outpouring of support her family has received from Kenyans in the aftermath.
She also offered her apologies for not answering calls or replying to text messages from worried Kenyans.
“Friends and comrades, my apologies for the unanswered calls and un-responded texts. Please forgive and bear with me. We feel your utmost pure outpouring of love and support. We appreciate all of it. Thank you,” Njeri posted on X.
She, however, did not give any update on the well-being of her husband.

The activist on Saturday left many Kenyans guessing with his cryptic message, which left netizens worried about his state.
“Someone gets to a stage in life, and they decide this is it for them. They’re ready for the next world. The pain, troubles, and expectations of others in this world are too much. They exit the stage and celebrate their life. End of story,” Mwangi posted on Facebook.
Journalist and social activist Hanifa Farsafi later claimed that she could not reach him and asserted that she had spoken to him days before the post.
“Boniface Mwangi has deactivated his accounts and we can’t get hold of him too, especially after the post he made. I spoke to him the other day and asked if he was okay and he mentioned how the attacks are always getting to him and my heart is so broken for him,” Hanifa posted on X.
Mwangi had been vocal during the recent anti-government protests, which led to his arrest before he was later freed on cash bail.
