Bondo Parents Beat 11-yr-Old Daughter to Death for Stealing Ksh 200

On Monday, authorities arrested parents from Masita Village in Siaya County for fatally assaulting their daughter.

The father claimed that his 11-year-old daughter had reportedly taken Ksh 200 without permission.

As per accounts, there was a conflict that occurred at their residence, involving the parents interrogating the child, who did not admit to whatever was asked.

The parents proceeded to physically punish the child, seemingly aiming to enforce discipline and coerce a confession from their daughter.

The young woman who took the money suffered severe injuries and was quickly taken to Bondo Sub-county Hospital.

The nurse assigned to her documented several bruises on the unconscious child’s body during the examination.

The physicians quickly hastened to assist her, but regrettably declared her deceased.

The remains were taken to the mortuary at Bondo sub-county hospital for a post-mortem examination, initiating inquiries into the specific events that led to her passing.

The parents were subsequently apprehended and transported to the police station, where they were waiting to be questioned.

By the conclusion of 2023, there were multiple instances documented where parents fatally harmed their children under the guise of disciplining them.

In October, a pair residing in Kayole fatally assaulted their 2-year-old child when she declined to consume food.

Another tragic event occurred in Nyeri County as a mother was apprehended for fatally striking her 8-year-old child with an electric wire.

The mother sought assistance to transport the child to the hospital upon realizing that the child’s condition had deteriorated.
